One-day Show Format
2013 Limerick Show Schedule
Our one-day shows begin at 9:00 am with Dressage. All competitors will receive a dressage ride time by signing up at the office the day of the show. Advanced sign up is not necessary, the show office opens at 7:30 to begin sign ups.
Once a competitor has ridden their dressage test, they can ride their stadium jumping round in our Montecito arena. This arena opens at 10:00 am, with all the show jumping courses from Elementary through Training level set up. Once the arena opens, it runs open gate.
Cross-country opens at 10:30 am and runs open gate as well - all the courses from Elementary through Training level are flagged and ready to be ridden.
Competitors may choose to compete in all three phases at the same level to be eligible for ribbons and prizes, or may compete in just dressage or jumping. In order to jump cross-country a rider must either ride a stadium round first or have participated in the Look B4 You Leap clinic the day before the show. Also, competitors may choose to ride at a different level in all three phases.
Cross-country courses and stadium courses will be modified in length and difficulty for the one-day shows. At all levels the water obstacle will be a question, with options at Elementary and Beginner Novice. Banks and ditches may be on the Beginner Novice through Training level courses. Please call in advance if you are interested in riding Preliminary, or if you wish to ride an FEI or USDF dressage test. Riders needing a standard size dressage arena will be scheduled first.
